Tim Solinger is a writer and editor with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, publicity, publishing and career communications, and he owns and operates Full Sail Writing & Editing Services, LLC, located in Stevens Point, Wis. Tim assists subject matter experts, brand stewards and other individuals with needs that include gaining visibility, building platforms, attracting followers and converting prospects, as well as with pursuing new career opportunities. Tim launched his business in 2005 and for many years operated it as two separate entities – Great Impressions Resume & Career Services, LLC, and TS Content Solutions, LLC – before undertaking a rebranding and introducing Full Sail Writing & Editing Services in May 2019.
As a marketing communications consultant, writer and editor, Tim offers brand strategy, marketing and publicity services, and his background includes experience in the software, education, manufacturing, transportation, logistics, training, consulting and publishing industries. In addition, he has experience in communications for non-profits including higher education institutions. He works with clients including entrepreneurs, consultants, business owners and CEOs, as well as with authors and publishers, to help them improve customer engagement, drive sales, attract media attention, establish thought leadership and achieve other goals.

As an editor with extensive experience in book manuscript development, Tim specializes in assisting authors with creating nonfiction books ranging from inspirational works on leadership, management and professional development to those on historical and scholarly subjects. In recent years, he has served as the editor of published books that include The Dignity-Based Franchise by Joe Kiedinger, Boomerang! Leadership Principles That Bring the Customer Back by Dave Skogen, and An Accidental Jewel, Wisconsin’s Turtle-Flambeau Flowage by Michael Hittle. Earlier in his career, he worked for six years as an editor at J.J. Keller & Associates, a technical publishing company, where he edited a number of guides and manuals on workplace safety and environmental compliance.
As a provider of career communication services, Tim assists clients with creating distinctive resumes and LinkedIn profiles, as well as with other needs, to help them define their unique value. In working with clients, he uses proven strategies and techniques that have helped many clients secure interviews and job offers, and he is especially experienced at helping individuals with career changes and transitions. Tim is a Certified Professional Resume Writer through the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches and is an approved career services provider with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. He has created and presented seminars, workshops and instructional programs on resume and cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile development, and interviewing at several Wisconsin technical college campuses.
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Iowa with an emphasis in writing and is a certified secondary school language arts teacher. He previously taught high school English in Mount Vernon, Iowa, as well as a course on writing for the workplace through the continuing education division at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh/Fox Valley campus in Menasha, Wis. He recently received a Gold Award in the Hermes Creative Awards competition from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals for his website, which was launched in 2019 as part of a business rebranding.
