It is certainly no secret that age discrimination continues to be a problem in the workplace. According to a survey by AARP of workers 45 and older, nearly two-thirds shared that they have witnessed or personally experienced age discrimination on the job. While combatting this practice continues to be an enormous task, there is one bit of good news to report. Since 2014, AARP has been compiling a list of companies that have agreed to sign a pledge to hire workers based on ability, not on their age. Currently more than 700 companies are participating in its Employers Pledge Program.
